Probe is a strategy board game with the main objective to capture Probe's Flag before Probe captures yours.
With real time excitement, special effects, and board game based Strategy, you are surely going to be glued to your computer for hours together. This game comprises of three stages: Opening, where you develop your pieces according to the logic of your setup; Mid game, where you attempt to establish piece superiority and control over the board, and the End game, where you send out search parties to find and capture the Flag. The game has three skill levels: Beginner, Intermediate and Expert. It also provides various game options like: special moves, equal rank attacks, bomb attacks, power squares, options to display Probe's piece ranks and your pieces ranks, various display options, and much more.
This amazing strategy board game also allows you to experiment with two challenging variants such as: Enhanced and Blitz.

Compete against the three time Computer Stratego World Champion! Select among hundreds of popular game options, like Aggression and One-time Bombs. Create your own setups using the convenient drag-and-drop editor, or choose from Probe's database of 50,000 setups. Undo and redo moves to explore alternate endings. Save games to resume later, and play back logs of completed games. Design your own custom piece sets, game boards and backgrounds.
Probe makes it easy for beginners to learn. Tutorials explain the rules, describe how to create setups and provide tips for play. For advanced players, Probe provides a realistic tournament environment. Probe enforces the ISF Two-Squares Rule and More-Squares Rule, and offers three options to prevent annoying chases and deadlocks. Probe is expert at protecting its Flag, and knows how to search out and capture your Flag, or win by attrition. Probe is by far the most lifelike Stratego computer opponent you can play.
Probe also offers two exciting variants: Enhanced and Blitz. Enhanced is played on a larger board with Power Squares that allow pieces to move directly from lane to lane. Captains can move diagonally, Lieutenants can jump over adjacent pieces and Sergeants can cross the lakes directly. Enhanced is a dynamic game with free piece movement and many attack combinations. Blitz is played on the standard board and lets you choose the piece set for variants such as Barrage.
